If you live in Vancouver and have any taste you have probably heard the electro-pop rock stylings of GANG VIOLENCE. They are one of the cities fastest growing bands and have already played some serious shows and venues including The Commodore.But is everything as good behind the scenes? Our Rumor Specialist Sabrina July received a tip off earlier this week and we sent our cameras out where we caught a shot of GANG VIOLENCE guitarist and keyboard player Robert Andow coming out of a monthly parking garage near his home in Coal Harbour.
"This local threesome really bares all in their music with an in your face dance-ability and catchiness" notes July "but we may not be getting the full picture."
"It's totally sketchy. Robert (or Rob to friends) has always taken pride in riding his bicycle around town, but something has changed in the past month."
An insider divulged to CHEW THE RAG that Andow has recently purchased two cars, a host of electronics and a whole new wardrobe using the bands money and is "not stopping there."
GANG VIOLENCE front-woman Sarah Cordingley has not released any statements on the topic but close friends say she has had enough. "She is totally pissed!" says July, "Apparently the two were seen having a heated argument when she saw him in Holt Renfrew racking up bills on the bands account!"
Hopefully the band can keep a handle on their expensive member. Because with music like theirs and their ever growing following of fans here and abroad, it would be such a shame to see them crash over something like this.
Drummer Bobby Siadat was not available for any comment.
